bright, bold and beautiful outfits with you today.
{to me nothing is brighter than an all white outfit - except maybe when a neon bandeau is peeping through.}
{a great pair of heels always makes me walk a little taller and feel a little bolder.}
{i always feel most beautiful when what i'm wearing is comfortable
and what's more comfortable then jeans and a tee.}

Bright Bold and Beautiful : The Marion House Book

Emma of The Marion House Book is the next host in my BB&B guest post series,

"What is bright, bold, and beautiful to you?" Thank you Emma!

Hello, Hello! I’m Emma from The Marion House Book and I’m delighted to be here today to share with you some of the things that I find Bright, Bold and Beautiful. One of the features on my blog is a series of house tours I do of my neighbor’s homes. I’m absolutely inspired by how creative, imaginative and lovely their homes are. So today, I’d thought I’d show you some of my favorite rooms from my Hello! Neighbor posts. Each of them is bright, bold and beautiful in its own way. Enjoy!

This bright, airy corner in Per and Elana’s home functions both as a small home office and a place to display vintage mirrors and pottery.

The rustic, industrial light fixture in Liz and Clay’s dining room was made by Clay. It makes a bold statement that sets the tone for the room.

Possibly every child’s dream! This attic playroom in Rachel and Paul’s house is just beautiful.

This fresh and clean bathroom in Jenn’s house was inspired by the movie The Royal Tennenbaum’s. I love the bold green wallpaper and the vintage looking sink.

The soft, pastel colour palette in this shared bedroom makes for a bright and beautiful space forKessa and Len’s small children.

The nursery in Hayley and Greg’s home is bright and welcoming for their little son.

Finally, this small clawfoot tub in Abi and John’s kitchen makes a bold statement. They use it for everything from giving their daughter baths to washing off the dog when he comes in from outside!

Thanks Laura for having me and I hope you’ve enjoyed having a little sneak peek into some of my neighbor’s homes!

Bright Bold and Beautiful : Dashing Pearl

Hello BB&B readers! My name is Colleen and I blog over at Dashing Pearl. I was completely flattered when Laura asked me to Guest Post on her blog about what I think is Bright, Bold and Beautiful in my life. To me, I think neutral tones with accent colors that really pop make such a nice statement. Right now I am totally loving turquoise as an accent, in all elements of your lifestyle.

Bright Bold and Beautiful : Mocca and Me

Hello there! I’m Natascha from Mocca & Me. I am so excited that Laura asked me to do a guest post for her blog Bright, Bold and Beautiful. It’s exciting because this gives me the opportunity to meet new people and to share a bit of my self with you. So, what is Bright, Bold and Beautiful to me? Read on and find out.
Bright

To me bright is synonymous for LIGHT, lots and lots of light. I love homes with big or high windows where sun light can just pour in. And I love spaces with many lamps. They are great to brighten up a room at night and to create the right atmosphere. I live in the Netherlands and a great part of the year the weather is grey and drowsy. So, light is scarce and we are always looking for ways to get more light into our homes.

Bold
Bold means making a statement, having a HOME THAT HAS PERSONALITY. I love it when you walk into a home and you immediately get a sense of the characters that live there. The home has to have its own personal style whether is full of colour or just a plain white interior. Fill it with all the things you love, items that are important to you – family photo’s, great souvenirs from your travels, design items you’ve saves up to buy, a great antique dresser from your grandmother, a piece of art you bought from a local artist or just great second hand furniture you bought at a flea market. Combine it all. Dare to show yourself and your personal style.

Beautiful
Beautiful can mean many things. What is beautiful to me is EVERYTHING THAT PUTS A SMILE ON YOUR FACE, everything that moves you, speaks to your emotions and everything that makes you happy. Sounds corny, huh? But to me it is so true. When someone laughs, that is beautiful. When you watch a movie and you’re moved to tears, that is a beautiful movie. When your parents say they love you and your heart fills with joy that is a beautiful moment. And the same goes for homes. And although aesthetics are important, a beautiful home is a home that is harmonious and where you’re made to feel welcome. It goes beyond colour and décor.
