Monday Inspiration and Hello Etsy

If you tuned into Hello Etsy this weekend, you were in for a real treat! So many creative thinkers sharing their ideas. Check out thinglink for a new way to bring your photos to life with notes, and even sound. I enjoyed listening to Ulla Engestrom, a Finnish social media entrepreneur, and the founder and CEO of thinglink. Also, listening to Farai Chideya speak about "telling your story" was incredible. Farai is the Vice President of Voice at Etsy and I was moved and inspired by her talk.

Best of the Week on BB&B

Artist Spotlight: Ceramics by Mary B
I admire ceramic artists for their talent, creativity and wonderful imagination. Mary B's shop on Etsy, Distinctive Ceramic Works of Art, is full of trays, vases , plates and bowls, and even colorful wall hangings. Most of her pieces are hand built of stoneware and are formed and glazed with great care.
Mary says, "When I am building the pieces I 'get lost' in the process of creation and when I open the kiln to find a piece that has turned out "just right" it is pure joy."
This earth tone vase with a stunning agate slice is truly one of a kind!
... and this centerpiece bowl in Southwestern colors might be one of my favorites!
