Exceptional Gardens

This post is also a repeat but since it's from May 2008, you might not remember it.  The garden is featured in a lovely book Exceptional Gardens that was originally published in Belgium.  The name really says it all and it's filled with gorgeous green gardens around Europe.  Also a reminder to get out and enjoy the beautiful late summer weather while you can.  Bon weekend!

Summer Repeat

I'm trying to enjoy my last few days of summer so I'm taking a little time off.  Instead of leaving you high and dry, I am reposting one of my favorite summer houses from the Hamptons.  (If TV can repeat shows, why can't I repeat posts?!)  The house belongs to Helen Lee and Tim Schifter and was featured in Harper's Bazaar a few years back.  It's the type of house that most fashion designer probably wish they could be at this weekend instead of preparing for fashion week in the city. Hope the rest of you don't have to work and can enjoy your Labor Day holiday. Bon weekend!

Happy Hydrangea

Part of my job for the Microsoft Preview event includes picking out and styling the flowers.  Hydrangea will definitely be on my shopping list. If you are lucky enough to live in an area with abundant bushes, you can just go right outside and cut them.  I will be picking mine up from the Flower District but they will be no less beautiful.  Hydrangea always seem so happy and cheerful to me too.  How can you look at them and not smile?  Hope these images make you smile too! Bon Weekend

Here in America, we will be enjoying a long Memorial Day weekend starting today.  The UK will also be observing a Bank Holiday on Monday in preparation of summer.  While my friends down under in Australia are preparing for Autumn.
