Great Indoor Bonsai Tree

maple The trident and the japanese maple: Great indoor bonsai trees

The Japanese maple bonsai (Acer-Palmatum) Is a very popular due to it’s deep red leaf color and it’s ease to grow.

First thing you need to know is that there are in fact two main types of maple bonsai. First off there is the more common ‘Japanese maple bonsai’ as pictured above, which has the red leaves in fall and the white and grey bark when well aged.

Then there is the ‘Trident maple bonsai’ a slightly more hardy tree that has golden/orange leaves in fall, and has a beautiful light brown bark.

Both great trees and both require the same maintenance techniques.
